– Kyrie Irving set the Mavericks record for points in an NBA All-Star game with 32. Like Dirk Nowitzki, Luka Doncic is not made to play in an All-Star game setting. Luka and Kyrie are 0-2 in their first two games together with the Mavericks, with a chance to get their first win vs. the San Antonio Spurs tomorrow night.
– Will Barton is being bought out by the Washington Wizards, should Mavs GM Nico Harrison take a look at signing Barton to add to the Mavs’ roster for the playoff run?
– Dirk Nowitzki was officially announced as a finalist to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. In all likelihood, Nowitzki will be inducted this August.
– Josh Green was inducted into the Arizona Wildcats ring of honor over the weekend. Green played at Arizona in the 2019-20 season.

S Thanks for the update! Ideally given usage rate should will be more or less shared between Luka and Kyrie, I would hope that translates to more energy and commitment toward defense. I didn't watch one minute of the All Star game! I'm relatively old though.
Sign Will Barton.
He’s a trustworthy veteran who can create his own shot out the pick n roll, catch & shoot & Defend. A 6’6” wing who can get downhill off the dribble with regularity, unlike Green, Holiday or Bullock or Theo.
His playoff experience will be needed !

Sign him immediately. Him and Ross and pat Bev were my top 3 targets heading into the Buyout period. Really wanted One of him and Ross and Pat Bev. We really should have gone after Pat Bev. We really need his Defense and toughness right now. He could help our rotations Defense tremendously rotating Pat Bev in and out of them and might help with our late game collapses and inability to close games out.

Looks like the rest of the NBA is playing 3D Chess while the Mavs are trying to learn how to play Checkers! Such a Pathetic showing at trade Deadline and the Mavs even slept while All the best bought-out players signed with other teams to make them better!
