Kevin Love was asked if a starting role matters to him during a call today with me, @ByTimReynolds and @IraHeatBeat: “Starting, it doesn’t really hold any weight for me.” The bottom line is he’s going to play alongside Bam a lot, whether he starts or not.

Getting good vibes from him, he seems like he just wants to contribute on a playoff team no matter what the role is

People might get disappointed at first but this shows that he’s a team player. I guess Spo won’t start him for a couple of games just to see what lineups and rotations work then he’ll probably be starting by a couple of weeks into march

Refreshing to hear from a heat player, who knows team above all

Always nice when players are secure enough to come off the bench

The guys done it all in this league. He started for a long time and is a champion. Just wants to be in a place where’s he wanted and can contribute at this stage of his career. He’s got plenty left in the tank imo.

One more thing about him outside of his own game is he’s going to be the perfect mentor for Jovic. He’s pretty much the ideal player for Jovic to learn from.
