Chicago Bulls and The Simpsons. Two faves of mine that both peaked in the 90s

No true guard to put the pieces together well

  3. We were a 6 seed last year (and played like shit post-Lonzo injury) that didn’t do much to improve the roster in the offseason while the east got better. We finished above the Cavs, Nets, and Knicks last year and they’re the 4-6 teams right now because they made offseason moves that made them better (maybe not so much in the case of the Nets but we all know the story there).

I thought we’d be better than the Wizards but other than them I’m not surprised by any team that’s above us in the standings right now.

No point guard, poor coaching, lack of development of young players…which one you like?

  5. AmerigoVesgucci

It’s a superstar league, we don’t have one

Unlike everyone else, I don’t like how this team was assembled, whatsoever

The Vuc trade will forever be in the back of my mind as the worst trade ever. We could’ve had Wendell + Franz Wagner + someone tbd and been an up and coming team, but instead we have an almost entirely washed out center who is a sieve on defense

Also, the fact that Vuc wasn’t traded makes me think they’re re-signing him next year which in turn makes me think this team won’t be at all different next season. Everyone thinks oh we were so good with Lonzo, let’s just get another pg (Beverly) and we’re good to go

I’ve got the downvotes to prove I was a doomer the second the news came out Lonzo wasn’t gonna be ready to play the start of this season. “Might not make the playoffs without Lonzo” I said. Classic “why are you booing me I’m right” Reddit moment

Put a lil pic of Pat Bev’s face on the tape.

Wait our team looked good on paper?

Last season when we were in first, I think we outperformed and it tricked everyone into thinking the makeup of the team was fairly solid. Just a tweak here and there. Taking injuries into account, DeMar’s drop off (which isn’t that bad and says more about the MVP-level he turned it up to last season), Zach being Zach, and our PG issues and it’s not a surprise we’re at where we’re at. You could see the issues in the second half of last season and we really didn’t do anything to address it.

And the truth is, we should be an over 500 team. Not contenders or anything, but definitely over 500 by some amount. They have the talent, it just ain’t happening.

They were pretty bad to end the season, so I was expecting this.

  12. workaccountname

No PGs on the roster besides Dragic and no PFs on the roster either. Big 3 is not good defensively.

We looked good on paper? We were the 6th seed last year and couldn’t beat any playoff teams, and our improvements this year is literally going from TT to Drummond as a backup center. We still had no idea if PWill was gonna be anything, knew demar was coming off a legendary season he’d likely not repeat, were banking on Lonzo to come back from injury 100%, and most of us knew Zach wasn’t a superstar that deserved a max from us. Anybody who wasn’t looking with rose tinted glasses saw this happening from miles away

  14. YGMurkobe

Yeah Moe, that team sure did suck this year. They just plain sucked! I’ve seen teams suck before, but they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked! Ah, gotta go, my damn wiener kids are listening.

  15. Not having an identity to rely on continues to haunt this team. It seems like the team adopted Demar’s clutch performances as it’s bread & butter. Of course, this is unrealistic for any team and we have failed to find something to hang out hat on. Are we a half-court team? Are we looking to get out in transition? What are we taking away from the other team? We still don’t have an answer to these questions.

  16. Started the season with the thought/hope that Lonzo would return by Dec. But he never came back so we were left without our best playmaker and defender.

Depends, how do you define “looked good on paper”

  18. Lonzo.

IMHO it’s pretty simple. He makes our offense go and offers options on defense.

  19. jump-blues-5678

We’re all need a little tape sometimes

  20. talclipse

Billy Donovan, Zach, and Demar all got exposed!! Thats what happened.

  21. Carrier_Conservation

Except they didn’t. Last years record was propped up by DeRozan playing like a top 5 NBA player.

  22. joemax4boxseat

Bulls fans overrating the team as usual. Even with a semi-decent PG this teams ceiling was always going to be a first round exit.
