I met Vlade and Peja in the arena parking garage under the Moda Center in Portland their first year running the team. Legit two of the warmest guys to a total stranger I have ever met. They wouldn’t let me leave without getting a picture with them when I told them I didn’t want to bother them more than I already had.
Say what you will about the man as a GM but as a person he is top tier. They say never meet your childhood heroes but they clearly didn’t mean Vlade.
