Always love reading Britt’s writing. It’s a breath of fresh air compared to many national media members’ writing. And I mostly agree with his takes here on Finch and KAT.

Man, we are lucky to have Britt

Good article, I think I agree with most of his takes – especially the Finch stuff.. I don’t think the Nowell plus-minus is as compartmentalized of a situation though
>Nor is he compensating with great two-point shooting.
I’d say his 2 point shooting is doing exactly that – compensating for his 3 point shooting. His overall 2 pt % is better than Ant, Booker, PG13, McCollum, SGA, Morant, Butler, Derozan, etc.
It’s not just about pace, he has an innate ability to convert pullup midrange jumpers at a rate higher than pretty much anybody this side of KD, Kyrie, and Beal.

I’ll admit, sometimes I find Britt quite negative and presumptuous (especially with his takes that the team is being “entitled” 4 games into the season…there’s no way he can know their inner feelings). But I also love some of his writing and interviews, and this article was *excellent*. Very nuanced well-written takes on Nowell and Finch.

Geez, the mailbag makes it seem all fans think Finch is what is holding this team back from being title contenders or something. I mean, dude hasn’t been perfect, but team is over 500, and has had to deal with a lot of injuries this year. Not sure what I’m missing here with so much Fire Finch energy.

His take on Nowell is very interesting. I’ve been pretty anti-Nowell this season seeing his 3P% and “chucker” tendencies, but I didn’t consider how much his pace helps some of his teammates. Interesting think piece for sure.

I think the people wanting Finch fired is crazy. It’s very impatient considering the roster we have and the injury to KAT
