not terrible if you ignore the turnovers and fouls

  2. Zennon246

17 points with 14 assists..no one can be mad at that but in any case wtf is this Clippers-Kings game lol

  3. DaYvngGOAT

Put on a playmaking masterclass… don’t let the TO numbers fool you, they couple of moving screens and Plumlee being unable to catch lol. Either way, amazing debut from Russ

  4. On the minimum? He’s definitely worth it 👏🏾 he played good

  5. Objectitan

Russell Westbrook at his Russell Bestbrook

  6. randylek

I want him to succeed on the clippers so badly to spite the haters

  7. Lopsided-Mobile2197

He looks so much better on a team with actual outside threats

  8. DorkandPoon

That was definitely the best game of the season

  9. knowitall190

Great game only reason they lost fox had beast game

This was Washington Westbrook. A little more turnovers than you would like, a little less defense than you would like but generates offense and makes the game easier for everyone else on the offensive end.

Also better shot selection, not better shooting just a few less bad shots taken over the course of the game.

They didn’t score after he fouled out

Westbrook feeding Zubac is gonna be sick nasty.

His chemistry with centers is next level. Turned Adams into a 20m+ a year guy. Racked up most of his assists with AD on the Lakers. (Shooting was barren on that team, will not have the same problem on the Clippers)

    Good for Russ.

Clippers situation is perfect for him as in terms of fit, it’s possibly the best fit for him and Clippers need a PG who can initiate the offense and is a good passer, which Russ is still great at. Great PG performance from him.

The real test would be how Clippers and Ty Lue adjust when teams start daring Russ to shoot by having his man come off and double Kawhi/PG. Need to put Russ in positions to thrive then. Also, when Russ goes wayward will Ty Lue bench him or ride with him.

As long as Russ plays good and clippers lose then I’m fine

  15. haedskey

I thought Russ overall played fairly well. Glad the Clippers lost haha

  16. BjornLakenstrazen

I’m rooting for Russ. Love the dude

  17. less-ismore

Being a lakers fan Russ played well tonight, especially within a first game and new team context. He will fit in better with this roster but understand clippers fans, not every night will look like this. You’ve been warned

  18. alizenweed

PG 34 pts on 18 shots, Kawhi 44 pts on 22 shots, the westbrook experience.

  19. fonzarelli90

They forgot about his playmaking and ability to push the pace of the game.

  20. AnkitPancakes

Russ gives the Clips some much needed playmaking. You can only go up from Reggie Jackson and John Wall

  21. JeremyJammDDS

I mean, he had games like this with the lakers. Many of them. It’s just that he’d go 2-13 next game with stupid misses and some more TOs. But the clippers are playing with house money because they’re only paying the min.

  22. MotherLoveBone27

It’s funny reading this thread and spotting the people who obviously didn’t watch this game lol

  23. He played pretty good the whole game. Tons of his turnovers were not even really because of him. People on this thread really gave their godly comprehensions just by watching the statline rather than the game lmao.

  24. One thing I hope gets talked about is how Russ will make the game easier for PG and Kawhi. We saw it today, so many of Westbrooks assists were to Kawhi. This clippers team is nice.

  25. He was too conscious and trying too hard not to shoot or create his own shot. There was a
play in OT when he had a clear path to drive but instead decided to pass. Had some big time scores in OT – the 3 and the layup. But ofcourse no one will talk about that. PG choked the game not WB!

  26. A good first game with Russ for clips. They’ll get it together for playoffs

  27. PapiPerceval

Yooo did this game set some sort of record? How did I miss this

  28. getoffmyyick

The “fouls out” doesn’t mention it was double OT game where each team scored 176-175😭😭😭😭

  29. backdoorhack

Timely 3 pointer too. The one he made was in the clutch.
