This is so exciting if it ends up translating into a streaming service without the ass-backwards blackout rules propping up the dinosaur cable TV industry! Really hoping Ryan Smith can lead that charge in the NBA, if it’s possible even in the current framework.

its funny how these huge telecoms companies keep fucking up local sports and wonder why they aren’t more profitable

I paid some $80 (?) for the team pass, I should be able to see the games, but no, I still get blackouts if Jazz plays the teams that are nearest to me, like Mavs and OKC, because those games are “available on TV in my area”. No, they’re not, because I’d have to pay YET for another service to get them. I already paid for it, I should get it.

Trader Danny is gonna swap ATT Sportsnet for 3 FRP and a cameo on the history channel talking about Bigfoot.

I think the Clippers announced a streaming option for like $10 per month, didn’t they? The Jazz wouldn’t be the ones leading the charge of they introduced a streaming option, at this point.

I believe this doesn’t matter because the contract with them ends this season anyway.

Iām not holding my breath for a positive outcome in all this. Just look at the PAC 12 media debacle as exhibit one as to why we should be a little worried

I remember when nearly all jazz games were free (no cable) on KJZZ in the 90ās. You could have antenna TV without all the BS.
