Led by Lauri Markkanen’s 43 points (15-28 FG), 10 rebounds and 3 assists, the Utah Jazz defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in overtime, 120-119. Walker Kessler added 7 points, 18 rebounds and 7 blocks for the Jazz in the victory, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tallied 39 points (12-26 FG), 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the Thunder. The Jazz improve to 30-31, while the Thunder fall to 28-30.

Walker Kessler is the first Rookie since John Henson (2013), to put up 7+ points, 18+ rebounds and 7+ blocks in a game.

  5. Lauri's father Pekka was a key player in Finland's national team, played also in Kansas University in late 80's against Shaq and others …

  6. SGA footwork reminds me of Hakeem's. Keeping that pivot foot down and doing all sorts of fakes is just an art form. His shooting touch from midrange is probably the best in the NBA too. And he rarely does anything overly athletic either… it's all footwork, timing, shooting touch.
