[Moore] Anthony Edwards agreed when asked if he feels there is more on his shoulders now offensively, and said “I’ll be in the gym tomorrow morning working on shooting over two people.”

To me it sounds like Ant misses how KAT would draw constant double teams lol.

I don’t really blame him, we all miss KAT. But Ant also has to realize that if he wants to be THE guy, he has to learn how to handle getting doubled a lot ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯

  1. I have no problem with Ant’s development arc. His next level is to be unstoppable consistently.

I have a problem that we’re now relying on him on offense exclusively

Ant has been awesome but even KD didn’t want to be the only dude that can create his own offense. This isn’t like the 90s when teams couldn’t do fancy zones. All the great ones need some help.

People underestimated how much KAT helped Ant. He clearly misses the easy offense KAT brought to the team.

I still think the issue was defense. We can’t contain the ball. It’s been an issue all season

Shooting over two people won’t make this team good. I really don’t know what will. Whatever this team does, we are still a .500 team that at best will lose in the first round.

  5. I think Ant misses having at least some level of secondary scoring or spacing next to him since trading away DLo

teams are just going zone on us every night that’s how little they respect us

  6. Or just move the ball and hit the open man. Our worst offense of the night was when Ant went into heroball mode

that he thinks the answer is learning to shoot over two people instead of making the simple pass pretty much explains it

Sounds like our boy really misses KAT haha. KAT’s had to deal with this most of his career, now Ant gets how hard it is. I don’t want the mentality to be keep taking tough shots over 2 people when it should be passing out of the double :/ But he doesn’t have much of a choice right now 🙁

Although NAW ([42% from 3, 61% TS](https://www.statmuse.com/nba/player/nickeil-alexander-walker-9991)), Jaden, Prince and Slomo have been shooting well from 3 this season. Conley is 42% on catch and shoots. But Conley and Slomo have looked extra hesitant to shoot lately

It sounds like he has realized that he’s going to be doubled a lot. My evidence is the quote you put in the title saying he’s going to work on shooting over two people.

And so it begins with Ant not being happy with the roster they put around him

Does anyone else find it concerning that he is talking about shooting over two people rather than passing to the open player?
