joe has no feel for the game which is doumbfounding given his background as a point guard. when players do stupid things (quick 3s etc) he doesnt have the ba++s to bench them.

In all my years (73y/o), have never seen a team repeatedly blow leads and beat themselves as much as this one. Speaks to poor coaching. Can't imagine this happening under a seasoned coach such as Pop, Bud, Doc, Spo, Thibs, you name it!
Problem with the Celtics is they have NO structure on offense whatsoever. You guys live by the 3 and die by the 3!
As a Knicks fan, I couldn’t believe some of the shots you guys were taking yesterday during the Knicks game 😂. Too much one on one ball and I knew the Celtics would let them back in the game. You guys did better running pick and rolls or penetrating and kicking the ball out to shooters.
The 2008 Celtics team would sweep 🧹 this years Celtics team. Even with the pace of play being faster and the rule changes. The only silver lining from todays game is that Robert Williams may have helped in the interior which would’ve given the Celtics more second chance points on offense and showing on the pick and rolls which would’ve slowed the Cavs guards down on defense and blocking shots.
2nd part of season – all teams adjusting offense and defense strategies. Coach Joe clearly not on par with the veteran coaches
Perkins right. JB shoots 3pointer that misses, too early. So does Smart, instead of playing the clock. Cud have gotten the team better shots. I am tense whenever it is JB or JT bringing the ball down. Forcing issues. Fatigue can set in down the stretch
Have always wondered. Hauser very dependable 3 point man. WHY WHY WHY hasnt Coach Joe mapped out a few plays that will free him ? Waste of manpower assets
After the Double OT game and resting Tatum/Horford, I knew the Celtics were going to lose, but to lose THIS WAY?? Sure hope the "Energy is about to shift" again. C's 3-4 since Mazzulla signs his new contract, winning those 3 games by an average of 3.5 points…. hmmmmmm……

The Grant circus hit its apex tonight. All the costumes, goofiness, constant commentary with the refs as if he's LeBron, trash talk. This was the night that the buffoonery all came crashing down. You can't have this guy be part of your team's character. After this year, I don't want him back at any price
3 double digit leads in a row blown , they could have and should have won all 3, wrong time of the season to start playing like they did at the beginning of last season , they are really disappointing us fans quickly

Yes Grant played poorly, NO I have no problem with people who want to say it was ALL on Grant but it is not. EVERY SINGLE TIME they stop moving the ball, cutting, and running real offense they struggle. The moment they keep jacking up step back 3's and fast shots they loose and at THIS point i want to hear Brad AND Coach Joe say so……. or we could be out in the 2nd round…..
Time to change the offensive strategy of this team. High time! Joe are you listening??? No more Tatum or Brown setting up the offense in the halfcourt.! No more early in the clock 3's from Jason Jalen or Marcus. Smart's the quarterback or White or Brogdon. The Jay's get the ball on the move or on the post everybody moves everybody sets picks. They can drive it or shoot it if they're open if not give it up let the offense find the open man. Distribute the shot attempts we don't want to be depending on the Jay's doing iso's. Everybody plays defense all the time and screw these highlight reel attempts and turnovers and the lazy bricks. Move your butt or take a seat. Play good fundamental basketball. Horford, Brogdon, and White are the leaders on this team the vets the experience the consistent players. The Jay's gotta stop dominating the ball and involve everyone else more. And the rest if the team has to stop buying into it. But this can only come from the top Joe has got to get it straight and take control and start kicking some butt and if he can't or won't he needs to be replaced.

This probably one of the best, if not, the best post game take. The Cs, at this moment, better know who tf they are or that's the season. Would not be if they are going to be 2nd round exits, because they sure af don't play like they want a ring.

What else is new? Another game,another loss for Boston. And as always,it's the guards of the opposing team that top the scoring and killed them, this time it's mitchell. Yestesday it was Quickley,3 days ago it was Brunson. Where is Smart's defense. This team will not survive and will be out after the first round of the play off.
Marcus taking 11 3s and 17 shots was a major factor. Bigger than Grant's free throw problems.

Underneath all the good vibes and good record from most of this season, this team will always be the same team that blows big leads, have no leadership, plays bozo basketball and shits their pants when things get tight just when you think they are a thing of the past. This will always be who the Tatum/Smart/Brown era of Celtics is and it is never going away, just a matter of when will these problems eventually creep back up again. When they blew it in the finals i knew it was most probably the peak for them and they'll never peak that high again, because going back to the finals is never a gurantee and it certainly is trending in that direction lately. These guys just don't know how to get out of their own way
As a Boston Celtic Fan, watching them is incredibly frustrating. They are throwing their original season strategy out the window with their ISO ball and letting Brown and Tatum take a majority of the shots instead of good ball rotation and their defense is rather suspect at best!! Any fast team with a small point guard is definitely going to beat us.. ask Nets, Knicks, Cavs, Bulls!! SMH
Marcus Smart needs to go! I'm sick of his terrible shot selection and he's not even playing defense anymore. They were playing much better when he was injured. Start White/Brogdon and Smart can come off the bench. While they're at it, bring Ime back!

The answer is right in front of them. Let Brogdon execute in close out games instead of smart. For as long as they have smart the tradition of blowing leads will continue, he's not a threat to drive or shoot, before you say defense, well guards have been leading the comebacks against them. Big ego role player who plays hero when the game is on the line.
They need players with high basketball IQs
I actually feel, by what i saw, that the Celtics played a lot better WITHOUT Tatum! They played fast paced & with purpose.

Man, this team got some problems that is giving real concerns for the playoffs. They are not playing all 48 minutes with great energy and they stay blowing 10+ pt leads constantly. Unfortunately, I feel like they peaked early in the season unlike last year when they started off slow and then hit their stride after the All Star break and went into the playoffs with good momentum. Coaching gotta be better.

Its becoming a habit to lose game with big leads at the beginning of the 4th. Lacks leadership in closing minutes whether its the coach or star players.
