7-seed Washington State vs 5-seed UCLA | 2023 Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament Championship Game

Most Outstanding Player Charlisse Leger-Walker scored a game-high 23 points as 7-seed Washington State outlasted 5-seed UCLA, 65-61, to win the 2023 Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship and complete an improbable run. It’s the first-ever Pac-12 title for the Cougars, who were the lowest seed to ever appear in the Pac-12 title game. Bella Murekatete chipped in with 21 points for WSU. Charisma Osborne led the Bruins with 19 points.

  1. Great game, could've went either way. Both teams took the long road to the finals. Bella Murekatete is great for women's basketball. She's inspirational, charismatic, and the first from her country to play at a D1 college is what I thought I heard about her

  2. The refs gave UCLA every opportunity to win that game down the stretch. Congratulations to WSU!!

  3. Great game by the cougs. They had me worried with the turnovers, but UCLA couldn’t hit a shot to save their life and it worked out in the end.

  4. CONGRATS LADIES! Now we just need the Boys to keep the good times rolling

  5. CONGRATULATIONS WSU! You sure earned this! Once my 2 Oregon Teams bowed out on Day 2, I started pulling for you. For 1) 7 is my fav #, & but 2) I lived in WA for 15 years, so i have a Minor in Washington, even tho i was actually a UW Fan while there! & 3) I just had a feeling!!!

  6. Even with the incredible talent that UCLA has , you still need to play together to know other players tendencies. UCLA got exposed, WSU showed it's experience. They are a smart team. Coach Eldredge knows first hand game pressure. Hopefully 4 and 5 star players take notice and choose WSU. Especially when her smart coaching took a team with experience and beat better more talented teams under pressure.
