Been seeing a fair amount of discourse on if Tyrese is already the best PG in Pacers history and well…I’d say this certainly doesn’t hurt his case.
only took Tyrese Haliburton 53 games to the set the single-season franchise record for games with 10+ assists.🤯 pic.twitter.com/TkWBiiMgak

If you are comparing Halliburton’s peak versus other guys’ entire careers then yes, but that’s not a fair comparison. Haliburton needs to show sustained greatness for a few years and then I’d feel comfortable saying that. He certainly has all the potential
There is no discourse… he already is.
I don’t think it’s close. Point Guard is arguably historically the Pacers weakest position. We have our GOAT at SG, PG at SF, O’Neil at PF, and Smits, Turner, and Hibbert at C (I know I’m missing a ton of great players as well like McGinnis). Point Guard is the one position where we’ve never had a truly great player until Haliburton. He’s definitely the best player we’ve ever had at that position.
