I came across a breakdown of funding sources for “[Cop City](https://www.instagram.com/p/CmM9krgOfuj/)” and noticed a familiar name. On image 2, under the Q3 “Pledges Receivable,” it looks like the owner of our beloved Hox pledged an investment into the proposed facility.

I know that watching basketball is a form of escapism for many of us here. So, I apologize if this post unduly inserts any bad juju into the sub. I just found it interesting and worth sharing.

Edit: I totally missed his name on the first image with the $1million confirmed.

Is this surprising to anyone? Cops work for rich people, of course rich people want more cops.

Hell yeah Chick-fil-A too, they make good sandwiches so I can’t stop going there. Also the free Chick-fil-A sandwiches if people miss free throws is 🔥

Can’t believe we’ve gotten to the point as a society to where it’s an unforgivable sin to support law enforcement who risk their lives to keep us safe

I’ll never have a billion dollars but it’s wild to think about just donating nearly 700k to build a cop play place. do you even get tax write offs for this? or did he just donate for the love of the game 😭
