Good
He needs to sit his ass down to regroup his mind and get his priorities in order. The team will be fine
Good, Ja is my favorite player, I want him to be well. Having this adversity and overcoming it could be great for him.
Should just go ahead and be out the 5th game as well vs the Spurs. Ja was so close to playing over 70 games this year. Hopefully he comes back and tears the league up and we’re back to talking about his play on the court
Play in bound smh
Yeah i think they not going to show ja in public soon. He way too hot right now. Cool things off a bit
Fine with me. The bigger priority is his mental health. Hopefully he is looking into rehab.
WHY? Why do I pay for season tickets for this shit and Ja is paid 100 years of my salary to hang out at home when he fucks up?
This wasn’t a crime, though clearly a stupid mistake. Just get back to playing so we can get past this BS.
Lol at y’all thinking Ja gonna fix problems in a certain number of games. Boy has generational problems. Ruined the season for you.
Sad they have to lock it so no one can reply because of all the ignorant ass trolls and pieces of shit that think it’s funny when someone is going through something serious.
I’m happy he’s doing this. Honestly, an under-appreciated aspect of NBA players’ job is they really can’t just say “*I just don’t feel like coming in to work. I’m going to take the day off.*” I think that leads to situations where the pressure of the job will lead them to act in ways where from the outside we’re like “*WTF is wrong with him?*”
So I’m glad he’s doing this. I’m glad it doesn’t have to be under the guise of “*load management.*” Glad that the situation at hand has everyone behind him on his decision to take the time to get his head right rather than there being grumblings of “*He doesn’t want to play…*” We all know he’d like to be out there competing but it’s better for him and the team if he returns mentally healthy.
Can they go 13-5 the rest of the way?

I’m getting pretty tired of seeing all these comments on every r/nba thread about Ja talking about how this is not a mental health issue and how the Grizzlies are trying to turn Ja into the victim of this situation. Yes, Ja’s actions have been immature and potentially deserving of punishment but that is not mutually exclusive from it being a mental health issue. Those sorts of comments are part of the problem with stigma towards mental health in general and it’s frustrating to see so many comments discounting the mental health needs of someone they’ve never met.
I honestly don’t care about his wellness. He is a real jerk. I care about everyone else’s wellness.
