How good was CJ McCollum on a scale from 1 to 10?
I was a nice win (for a change) but I don't get too excited over a single win…they have to string a few together and show real consistency to convince me to trust them again…CJ was indeed brilliant and they showed fight in the 2nd half. The bench play was solid and that helped a lot.
Blue Steel aka Dyson is going to be key for the stretch run.
Season over without Zion ..fire everyone on the Front Office and Coaching staff and start everything new! Trade ingram, cj,jv,naji,Hayes and build around Zion !
So glad we got that win. Felt like the life was getting sucked out of us again… Bi going down just adding to this awful stretch for us… 4th looking lost last couple mins and then BOOM CJ remembering who he is, bucket getter extraordinaire . Great to see, but most important, please BI and Z pleeeeeease take care of yourselves and comes back strong let’s finish what we started! We’ve come to damn far and created to much damn hype to let this season slip away. LFG!

Agree with the Jax comments. Keep him or let him walk? He does not fit with Zion but with Zion and BI hurt so often, we need that athletic big. He only walks if we get an upgrade there. Fun game to watch. I believe Jake may have gotten through to Coach Green. Our young coach is growing. CJ delivered like we knew he could… Keep it up Pels.
If luka can play through his injury so can Zion. Zion is soft.
In the 4th quarter, he was a 10!
Incredible effort from Herb. Aside from the 3 ball not falling he did everything right. A menace on defense, coming up with crucial rebounds (4 offensive and 9 total), and setting screens/ cutting on offense. One of the biggest plays of the game when the Mavs cut it to single digits the Pels called timeout, came out and misses the shot but Herb grabbed the offensive rebound and found CJ for a 3.
Also there has been a clear adjustment by the staff in how they're using Herb on offense. He's involved more in the action as a screener (and rolling to the basket) which he's very good at, and they've had him roaming the baseline or in the dunkers spot on occasion, as well as him just cutting on drives. If they just stick him in the corner he's a liability but if they have him setting screens and cutting/driving the defense absolutely has to account for him because those are the things he's good at. Hope to see more of the same

Like AD said during the broadcast… when the ball moves this team plays well. I feel like they got away from that late in the fourth and CJ bailed us out lol

I think Hayes resembles the 5 for the future of the pelicans. His skill set is what they need to be effective on defense but still have a versatile offense. It might take an off season to focus on that role, but he’s been effective more than not.

And when they put Willy Hernangomez in the lead, started to get cut down because Willie cannot play defense to save his life!! Kira Lewis, didn’t touch the floor after he had a good showing..

Jake I'm happy for the win ! But the Pels lack of shooting besides CJ ,almost lost that game.I love my Pels ,but we can't expect CJ to go off like that every game. Herb was ballin and attacking the rim ! Go Pels !
