[Joey Linn] Ty Lue said Russell Westbrook has been 100% bought in regardless of his role each night. Said he was up off the bench cheering the entire 4th quarter last game despite not coming back in the game.

His energy has been exactly what we’ve needed

  2. AcidCity_

Meanwhile skip and Shannon continue to lie about him sulking on the bench

“regardless of his role each night” thats cool and all but he’s started every game lol

Outside of him suddenly starting every night there hasn’t been anything to glaringly bad about him. He does make bad turnovers and god is spacing awful when he is on the floor and he is prone to some bad defensive moments, but to be fair the team has been bad themselves.

Otherwise he has been okay for the team, it is readily apparent he is personally in a much better place on the team and has overall be a slight positive. I don’t know if him playing heavy minutes is going to help or hurt the team com playoffs, but I also don’t really know how far this team can go since everything has been of a whack for a while.

  5. Russ adds a whole new dimension to the team. He’s what I hoped we’d get out of John Wall but also rebounding. And he fits the chemistry well.

Hoped for the best when we got him, the losing streak was sad but he isn’t a bad fit imo

i thought i noticed him leave early last game? i could b wrong. i assumed he left early to like get iced up or something

anyway, idc, just need to see shades of the old russ come playoff time;.

He definitely provide another dimension to the team that we lack and that was energy . I would love to see more Westbrook and Mann combo. They worked so well together.

His off the ball play and on bench support show that. When the last time people seen Westbrook setting screens?

I think he should have closed the game considering the raps were winning offensive boards pretty easily.

  11. OnlyWatchdog_ManStan

His role is a starter so why tf wouldn’t he buy in.

  12. redditnathaniel

He better because he doesn’t have much leverage at this point in his career.

  13. TheReyton

Can’t wait to see how skip and shannon try and spin that around.

Russ legit has every reason to be mad. He’s doing everything to fit and Ty Lue’s shit coaching is totally annihilating his redemption arc. I love Skip and Shannon, but they’re praising Lue and pillorying Russ and it’s bogus.

  15. bazilguy

Ya I was at the game literally right behind the bench and he was there until the game ended and was clapping. People just trying to stir the pot on something that isn’t there

  16. Even tho Russ was hot garbo on my team a lot of the time, I am glad this fanbase is embracing Russ more.

  17. McJumbos

its sad to see the media spinning the bad guy narrative on his man

First 4 games were rough but Lue did say he would be trying out lineups for around 6 games. I think he’s starting to find out what works, just glad everyone else around us was losing as well so we pretty much stayed in the same position.

  19. cloudzmumgey

that block he had last game was an out of body experience. shame no one was back to grab the rebound

Waiting for Lue to say the same thing about Marcus Morris Once he’s DNP and benched
