Honestly I haven’t followed the Mavericks very long but I’ve never seen someone average 20 points a game and get called “not good”. Christian is being held at a very very high standard by some of you, unprecedented actually.
Too much depth, can’t play him
Sorry
He has his downside but given the bigs we current have we should definitely start him and play in clutch.
There are some users on here who really thought offering him NOTHING was better than locking him up for at least 2 years. Where else was he going to sign? He was going to rot on the rockets.
Twitter really is crazy to put Osama fucking Bin Laden next to a picture of J Kidd as a reply to this tweet. I’m not a J Kidd apologist but that’s wild
Well according to Kidd we have good enough depth in our front court to warrant him playing 15 fucking minutes. Kidd’s agenda with Wood seriously needs to end. He’s hurting Wood and more importantly, he’s hurting the team by not playing his best players.
Nick Angstadt is doing the Lord’s work on twitter why Wood pairing with other players have not been good.

I don’t mean to be a dick here because I genuinely like wood, but 20 ppg for a guy who wants a borderline max contract is a joke. 20 ppg in today’s nba is what starters should be scoring on better efficiency than wood has honestly. C wood is currently 58th in ppg… Him posting those numbers would move him up hardly 10 spots and lets be real, his efficiency would likely drop because it would be against better opponents. He pretty much never passes the ball on offense, he has shown he doesn’t play well with Luka honestly. And that isn’t even mentioning his defense, which is not great, yeah he gets a couple of blocks and he is a good help side post defender, but if his man is on the block and posting up or there is a wing assignment, its pretty much guaranteed points for the other team. And on most teams, that isn’t a problem, but on a team with Luka and Kyrie who are not the best defenders we just can’t have that. I do think wood should be finishing games but he also has had that chance and damn near every game he is in the closing lineup he forces things and lets teams back in or sort of loses us the game.
He averaged those numbers after dp and maxi got injured, kidd was literally forced to play him starter minutes 😂 during that stretch he was playing exceptional defense and we where winning. As soon as dp came back he went back to 15-20mpg and his numbers tanked. Kidd clearly has an agenda or he is the dumbest mfker in the league
He doesn’t get in the game usually until the 2nd half, if that. WTF is the basis for those bullshit numbers? Speak your sorry truth OP.
Now that we have Kyrie an argument can be made Wood doesnt fit on this team rn. But that doesnt excuse what we did with Wood early in the season lol. That was basketball malpractice. I love people trashing his defense lol. Did you expect a guy who can score like Wood to give you great defense too? If so he would have been maxed already, geniuses.
I just wonder how many more wins they’d have if he had been starting all year. Even if it was only 3 or 4, that would make a huge difference. The West is insane.
Him +Green +Luka +Kyrie are 4 good scoring threats to have out there.
It really is remarkable when you think about it that McGee was a massive flop, Maxi missed half the season injured, and Kidd STILL kept Wood from getting consistent starters minutes for a sustained stretch this whole season.
His comment about how our “depth” in the frontcourt stops Wood from playing more perfectly captured his nightmare handling of Wood’s tenure in Dallas so far. He probably falls asleep chuckling about the utterly absurd answers he gives to the media when asked to answer for his mismanagement of this team.
