Adrian Wojnarowski & the ESPN panel today saying Brandon Miller has passed Scoot Henderson as the #2 player in the draft in the eyes of NBA executives. Saying Scoot has struggled to be the elite playmaker in the G League he has projected to be. Poor playmaking & 27% from three!

also cause Brandon Miller has been absolutely killing it. and if he balls out in march madness the hype will be even greater.

If we draft Brandon Miller our shooting šŸ“ˆšŸ“ˆšŸ“ˆ

  2. n3moh0es

miller is gonna be so good i donā€™t think people realize how good he could be. scoot too

  3. CazOnReddit

Still don’t see him dropping out of the Top 4 so one would have to hope the lottery balls pan out in our favour

  4. green_and_green23

We really need some lottery luck. If vanvleet and Trent leave for nothing, a nice draft pick would stem the pain. Iā€™m now team blow it up. Trade everyone, build around Scottie

  5. Massive_Secretary658

Raptors won’t get either of them šŸ™

  6. cooldudeman007

Weā€™re not getting either. Need a guard who can shoot it. Keyonte George come on down

  7. jjkiller26

Not even close to his range even if they did start blatantly tanking lol

  8. I will gladly take Scoot at 3 if we jump up lol

  9. keeeeener

He has looked so so good this year. And as sad as it is to say, he hasnā€™t lost a step with all this controversy. Which probably projects well for the nba spotlight.

To be fair Scoot players in another league of competition.

  11. Did Brandon miller not bring a gun for his buddy and than he murdered someone? I donā€™t care if they had nothing they were able to charge him with that speaks a lot about his character.

  12. LilJohn416

i saw this coming, Miller is an absolute stud and this draft is no longer about Scoot and Wemby. Miller has entered their territory.

  13. And how exactly do we expect our team to be a top 3-4 lottery team, when we’re likely going to finish around the 9-12 range?

  14. _d00little

6’9″? Masai should be licking his lips and rubbing his hands.

  15. crackhousebob

Every year people post shit like Raptors are going to have a number 1 or 2 pick overall haha. May as well put Giannis in a Raptors jersey again.

  16. Seanbig888

A nonshooter? Sounds like a future raptors

  17. Then-Signature2528

That’s cap! No teams are passing up scoot at 2. Then again… 3 teams passed up on Luka.

  18. pikachuda6

Been paying attention to Scootā€™s numbers in the Gleague and looks like heā€™s been regressing, his shooting percentages are awful and hasnā€™t really made an in impact in the GLeague.. I predict heā€™ll be a bust in the NBA

  19. jbuffishungry

It’s almost as though we should all be skeptical of the hype machine.

  20. Mike_0405

No, we donā€™t need him, Koloko doesnā€™t like him.

I’m personally not a huge Scoot fan, I’m a fan and I definitely believe that his ceiling is enormous and I’d love to draft him BUT I don’t believe he’s done enough to warrant the #2 pick…if you draft Scoot, you’re drafting him with the assumption that you can turn him into a shooter, but the real reason you draft him is that he’s an athletic freak with a high IQ, and a dog mentality like Westbrook coming out of college, and you’re hoping that he develops into something special.

It’s a shooters league, and if you’re going to be a true top 5-10 PG or SG in the NBA you have to develop into an elite shooter…that’s just the reality of todays game, and although I think Scoot can do that eventually, he might not and that scares me on a team that already struggles with shooting.

Fellas, if there is one college program for Raptors to follow, outside of Florida State, is Alabama. I have been following Bama’s coach Nate Oats since he was at Buffalo. Oats has the SAME philosophy as Raptors – he likes long boys – he likes his players to be athletic, long arms, shoots the 3, play great defense. His offense is either at the 3 or at the rim. His best PG is like Lowry/FVV – small, quick, tenacious on defense, shoots 3 well and distributes. Miller is the SF proto for Masai – 6’8″ very long arms shoots 3s, defends, creates. their PF 6’10” is equally long, shoots 3, plays small ball center extremely well, has quick feet to stay with guards on perimeter (Clowney). We may not be able to get Miller, but we can get Clowney. He’s a tad skinny though, will need development and maturing into his body as he’s just 18.

  23. Boy oh boy, sure is a good thing we decided to double down on a flawed core and a bad team in a very stacked draft.

    A+ FO management.

  24. NBAball05

Iā€™m not saying heā€™s a bad player from watching one game but when he was in Toronto against the 905 I was in the arena and honestly there wasnā€™t anything ā€œ#2 overall in a stacked draftā€ feeling obviously he had a rough start cause of border issues and didnā€™t start and he got ejected in the third but still the time he was playing it didnā€™t seem too ā€œsuperiorā€

  25. Green-Umpire2297

Tanking his draft stock on purpose. He can read the standings.

  26. chrisPjelly

Well shit. Damn, ngl I didn’t expect Brandon to dominate the way he did recently. I know I’m on record saying our FO wouldn’t be stupid enough to pass on Scoot, but fuck… a 6’9″ wing that has three level scoring potential? Of course our FO would be one of those heavily considering him as number 2 on their board.

  27. Raptorsthrowaway1

Lets see what the lay of the land is after the tournament

  28. Is there even a source for this? Because all I see is a poorly written tweet by a Pistons fan.

Woj and Jonathan Givony were on NBA Today and Givony said that Miller is “in the mix” for that #2 spot with Scoot. He also still has Henderson at #2 on his board. Woj didn’t say a word about Miller definitely passing him, and as a matter of fact it’s “splitting hairs” between the two at this point.

  29. People…what mid season moves did you think was going to turn this into a team that would keep the L.pace with the likes of the bottom 4?

You’re legitimately crying about being a potential 6th place vs 5th..
