oh wow
Uh ok š¬
17/yr is great
YESSSSSSS
But why tho? Either way Quin taking us all the way next year š
honest opinionsā¦.how we feeling?
idk about this one guys
Cap is going up so this will probably look like a steal, assuming he returns to a semblance of health
please beat the washed allegations šš¼
Haha funny joke Woj
Why not just keep Huerter? And I hope this means we are trading Dre
HUH?!
All but signals that Collins is gone, no way they can keep bey unless they get off of his contract and it doesnāt really make sense to keep both
Idk about this man
Pour one out for the possibility of AJ getting big minutes next year
Wonder what this means for AJ Griffin going forward?
i just canāt wrap my head around this given his injury concerns and lack of defensive ability
Uhhhhhā¦why?
[Bogdanovic](https://twitter.com/btrowland/status/1636444119684792323?s=46&t=CIxzzTY87feGzo5CXtty_w) essentially has to decline his player option to make this contract happen.
So it is 4 years and $68 million beginning with the 2023-24 season.
edit: from [woj](https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1636444359024361472?s=46&t=CIxzzTY87feGzo5CXtty_w):
Bogdanovic declines the $18M player option on his 2023-2024 contract and his new deal kicks in next season, sources tell ESPN. Bogdanovic, 30, is averaging 14 points on 40 percent three-point shooting for the Hawks this season.
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOO THE FLAIR STAYS ON!!! I LOVE BOGI NO CAP LMAO
dis one confuses me
Heās 30 right now and regressed defensively after the injury
Whatever
Now his salary can be used in a bigger trade, nice
If his knee is able to hold up then great contract especially with the cap spike, if not then I have no clue what the FO is cooking but you can definitely move off bad deals involving shooters (Washington got KP for Bertans!)
This will look like shit if he can’t stay healthy, but a healthy Bogi is easily worth this. So…TBD.
[Last thing for now,](https://twitter.com/btrowland/status/1636445353950978072?s=46&t=CIxzzTY87feGzo5CXtty_w)Bogdanovic won’t be trade-eligible for six months from the day he signs the deal.
So he could be traded in the offseason but not until pretty close to training camp.
Look I love Bogi but this makes no sense to me.. his knees are cooked and now we have him until heās 34?
im pro vets so im okay with having older voices in the locker room and some continuity
He was probably gonna walk for nothing if we didnāt extend him. With age and health concerns, I donāt see this as āBogi gonna be a long time Hawkā but more so an asset we can use for the future.
I will massage his knees every day this fall free of charge please stay healthy king
I love Bogi but not gonna lie I find this shocking. I thought for sure he would be gone this offseason with Bey and AJ replacing him.
either this was a way to trade him when eligible thus not lose him for nothing, or Quin sees him as an essential part of the mix next season
lol what?
its looking like this was a trade piece extension
Christmas for Bogi flairs
I think Hunter and John both gone next season. Iām not mad at this move either.
What does this mean for Aj? Heās already not getting minutes bc him and Bogi are kinda redundant is he gonna play the 3 and if so howās that gonna work when we already have JJ and Bey taking those minutes? Idk this front office confuses me.
$17 million a year is going to be mid-to-high end bench player money after the new CBA. Please adjust for salary inflation before dropping hot takes.
Bogi is and will always be the greatest shooter the league has ever seen. I know his knees are shot and his defense blows, but he’s one of my favorite Hawks. Although he’s not as consistent or same player mold as Kyle Korver, Bogi still hits clutch threes and makes great plays.
Whether we trade your contract in the coming seasons or not, I’m happy to have him as a Hawk as long as he’s healthy and plays hard.
Quin’s system must require a Bogdanovic..
I have absolutely no idea how the front office think this made sense but I kinda didnāt want bogi to leave so thereās thatā¦
So what does this mean for Aj and Bey. Also have to wonder how this affects Collins and Deandre moving forward. This move is a little confusing , giving the timing of it. I know AJ is a rookie but his growth can be stunted with this commitment to Bogi. Maybe the Hawks see AJ more as a 3 in a reserve role, or as a replacement for Dre in the foreseeable future. Idk.
BEST NEWS TO WAKE UP TO
Do any of you guys think this is a good sign that players like this want to stay in Atlanta, considering we have been very Mid the last 2 seasons and he could have gotten roughly the same money elsewhere?
I love this move actually.
