Giannis: I’m not as talented as Steph. I’m not as talented as KD. I’m f—ing desperate. I’m obsessed… So I f—ing work as hard as I can, because I don’t want to lose this s—.

Never heard Giannis curse so much so it’s funny to see it all in one headline. But the mindset I love. I love the obsession. It’s all a very driven mindset while he can perform at this level he’s at.

Isn’t Giannis in like, the Lebron/Wilt tier of physically gifted humans that have played in the NBA

  2. thechemistrychef

Giannis admits he’s a just run and dunk fraud man /s

I get that he works hard, but dude is a 7 foot superhero. Like, I don’t care how hard Luke Kornet works, he isn’t transforming into one of the most physically gifted humans of all-time.

Imagine if this dude was 5’8. He always says stuff like “I don’t belong here” or “people like me aren’t in the NBA”.

Giannis is my favorite player, but bro preaches humbleness in the same way Dame preaches loyalty 😭

Immigrant mentality , just wait till 3 generations down the line

Steph is talented to make up for his lack of strength and physical prowess. KD could get pushed over by a Chicago wind breeze. Giannis is the exact opposite of them. Doesn’t have the touch when shooting or the finesse but he uses what he’s got.

I can see where he’s coming from through. KD and Steph could be 40 and still have that shot. Giannis won’t always have his speed and power forever.

This is like Batman touting that he’s got no superpowers and has to compete with Superman

  9. I mean his brother’s are similar sized and not able to do anything close to what he is.

  10. chapoktt

Giannis is a lot more skilled than people give him credit for.

I love how this sub is trying to shit on a superstar saying he wants to win.. some of you bums get mad about everything

Great mindset to have. You can’t fake desperation. He genuinely believes this.

Hard work vs Talent debate. Giannis is right though, he worked his ass off to be where he’s at. That’s not to discredit anybody else, he just didnt have the skill set when he came to the league like others.

This is probably the most interesting thread from a post I’ve made in a while lol

Giannis you are ten feet tall and made out of steel.

    Relax.

  16. jaypooner

sorry how is a 6’11” body with 7’3″ wingspan not god given fucking talent

  17. Aaron-Focus

LOL I don’t believe every single word he talked. Is he serious?

  18. When is he gonna stop this narrative lmao. We get it but also, you’re one of the most physically dominant athletes in any sport and are almost universally considered the best player in the nba right now bc of his unique mix of specific traits and talents along with his ridiculous athletic profile and size. He could stop today and be a top 75 player ever and in the hall of fame. I get having to be self motivated but cmon bro. Giannis genuinely does believe this which is cool but we do t need to hear about it so much lol

I think y’all confusing talent and skill. I look at talent as something you’re born with. Giannis is one of the most mobile and strong 6’11 players ever. Steph did not come out of the womb able to shoot half court threes he worked on that his entire life. Granted Steph was maybe in a more privileged position with his dad being an NBA player and both him and KD were much more skilled than Giannis when they first came into the league but that is much different than raw talent imo

I wish I had the chip on my shoulder a human marvel like Giannis could possibly have. I’d get so much more accomplished.
