Davis has proved to be a role player not a star player in any case to win with Davis comes to luck he needs not to get injured and give 110%, to may factors for him no mental toughness. Davis is known to be unreliable. The lakers need a number 2 that steps up Davis is OK for a number 3 he would be great in the same role that Chris Bosh had.

Why do you all insist on saying this man has "number one talent"/"top five talent"? Part of talent includes being *consistent*. Corey Brewer one time scored 51 points in a game in the 13/14 season. Who is going to say that during that season Corey Brewer has top 5 talent? This is homies 3rd season in a row in his prime where he hasn't even been a top 10 players. Let's call a spade a spade.
I'm gonna take a guess that AD & the training staff are keeping the extent of his injuries on the lowdown. It looked like he just wasn't able to be as aggressive as he needed to be, maybe he's banged up.
Don't forget that with LeBron out the opponents can LOAD UP on AD and put their best defences onto him, Malik Beasley and D Lo haven't been hitting 3's well enough and all the pressure is on AD to dominate but he's not the main ball carrier. The structure of how teams can double team AD changes a lot with LeBron out, that's why Austin Reaves was so good because he used the opportunity to attack the rim in the 'LeBron role.'

AD has been in a slump offensive but has been ELITE defensively. Outside of those two plays to end the Mavs game. Over the past months I've watched people defend Westbrook who plays the game the wrong way, especially at the PG position.. Now 1 of the 2 guys that's been playing his hardest to the point that his body has taken a toll is now being labeled as a guy that doesn't play hard, can't be counted on lol. It's a shame the level of disrespect him and Bron has endured this year. Lakers have 1 legit big outside of Bamba who has been hurt. That's a lot of responsibility to put on a guy who's supporting cast is so up and down. All it takes is a double team and live with anybody else getting off. That's been the difference in the Lakers wins and loses over the last 10. Not if AD's play on both sides.
