NBA Countdown reacts to Mavs’ intention to file protest of loss to Warriors

NBA Countdown’s Malika Andrews, Zach Lowe, Chiney Ogwumike and Kendrick Perkins discuss Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban saying the team will file a protest of their 127-125 loss to the Golden State Warriors due to a play late in the third quarter that Cuban attributes to an officiating error.

  1. If you thought it was your ball, you would have somebody standing there to inbound the ball.

  2. Luka has no claim to say that they were paid off, they were just bad refs…bad calls on both sides of the court. Mavs should have gotten calls against them multiple times and didn’t, so chalk it up to a shitty situation.

  3. That play pretty much summed up that game. Trash warriors got a lucky break which they desperately needed and the Mavs continuing to look and play like a middle school team.

  4. theres no way on earth that the refs wouldn't inform the mavs team of whos possession it was before letting the warriors inbound. that was some highschool level BS

  5. hear this out. after the ref signaled time out for the mavs (pointing to the mavs) C.Wood rushed to the ref. if you can find that clip, the ref was clearly pointing to the warriors side while talking to C.Wood. so he knows it's GS ball. if they were thinking its their ball, why no one from them is there to take the inbound???

  6. still lost by 5 before bullock hit an almost meaningless 3 at the buzzer. and we not even gonna mention the officiating on warriors tonight lol…

  7. Hey y'all. An inbounds after an out of bounds call is ALWAYS INBOUNDED EXACTLY WHERE IT WENT OUT OF BOUNDS. There is no "advancing the ball" to half court. That's it only for when a team call s timeout while in possession of the ball. Dallas was not in possession of the ball when the timeout wss called. Timeout was called during a dead-ball sequence.
