What Do You Want Troy Weaver To Do This Offseason For The Detroit Pistons?

The season for the Detroit PIstons is almost over and then, of course, the offseason will start for The Motor City. While many, including myself, are incredibly excited for the offseason, there’s reason to also be worried about what could possibly happen. And as of this moment, Ku doesn’t have a definitive answer on what would be the right route to take this offseason.

  1. Where we land in the draft will give us direction in which Free Agents to pursue. I know that Wings that play D is our biggest need; don't be surprised if Troy is very active in the trade market, and possibly gains us another First Round pick.

  2. Cam is 27 – 28 next year, shoots 39.5% career @ 3, does he rebound with efficiency, does he play good defense, and if we get Miller then they play the same position, what's your take on the Pistons getting him?

  3. Hey Ku. I’m huge on draft coverage since our rebuild. I think our big game hunting should be in the draft this year. The chances of getting Wemby are very low, so I’ve ruled it out for my own purposes. It’d obvious what he’d do if we land him. So all year I’ve looked at the wings and forwards. If we land 3/4, we’re in a great spot to take Miller, which would be the most perfect fit you can ask for. A 6’9 wing with high motor and insane 3PT ability who can play off ball. I’d also be very pleased with Jarace Walker, or Ausar Thompson (although I have reservations about Thompson). If we can entice the Lakers on draft night to swap their pick 12-15 wherever I may land, in exchange for Bojan, we should snag another wing like Taylor Hendricks (6’9 forward freshman 19 ppg pn 48,40,78 splits). Or we shoot for kris Murray/darriq whitehead/Brice sensabuagh. Bottom line, have a reapeat of last draft. Fill the final two holes with strong wing talent. Find a way to procure another 1RP in the mid first round. Then hunt small to medium fish in free agency.

  4. Before the Detroit Pistons pay a premium for a free agent we need to make sure if Dwayne Casey will next season be our head coach and I would like to see how the chemistry between Cade and Ivey develop and whoever is our small forward must be a good three and D and (dribble create) his own shot. I am not worried about our bench we have a lot of players to pick from. A new coach will be the critical factor in the growth of the Pistons.

  5. Wembanyana or Brandon Miller. Bring in a defensive minded assistant coach. All with an eye to become a top 10 defensive / rebounding team next year.

  6. "This free agent class is just not attractive to me" you say? Well who are the Pistons attractive to??? NOONE, for years. Bad team, bad coach, no clear plan for the future. The only plan i see them having is "let God be kind enough and give us the 1st pick"!
