I don’t understand what narrative he’s trying to create here “you know how the movie probably ends.” We’re 1-1 in the Jimmy Butler era and have completely eaten Bostons lunch the past decade plus.
If you go on the Celtics subreddit there’s a thread where a lot of the comments are Cs fans dreading having to play us early and preferring we move up in the standings because they’d rather not play us. They’re upset with losing the second seed to Philly because it’s Philly and obviously you want to be seeded higher, but they also expect us to absolutely beat down our first matchup even if we lose. Crazy that we’re getting more respect this year having been fighting for the 5-6 seed than we did last year as the 1 seed.
It’s insane the amount of high profile Boston fans are legit afraid of playing the Heat in the playoffs. It’s like they know last year was a fluke victory.
