Maxey is amazing. Obviously he’s not the greatest player of all time, but he has everything else you want in a player.
He’s young and has shown a lot of potential and skill in his first two years than like 90% of NBA players, great up-beat personality (he genuinely seems like a good kid), gets along with his teammates well, HIGH MOTOR (even though he makes mistakes, it looks like he’s playing the game because he wants to and not because it just pays him).
Like you couldn’t ask for a more likeable player. People are just upset that he’s not this perfect answer to the team lmao.

Everyone can have a bad night now and then. If anything, Embiid was tired at the end. We needed more Tobias in the 4th quarter. He had a hot hand last night.

Nobody hates maxey dawg, and he’s way outperformed expectations. That being said, it’s basically impossible to have a rationale basketball discussion about him, similar to Tisse few years ago.
His defense was the main reason GSW dropped 44 in the last quarter, and Poole whose been trash the whole season went the hell off. Every single screen takes him out of the play completely, and he’s poor at recovering. We’ve been getting torched by so many guards this season lol
His offense is great next to our stars, very underwhelming without them. He needs to improve his shot creating, handle and playmaking vision to take the next step as a star scoring guard. Him not being aggressive enough isn’t the issue, he just struggles to get any separation
Just like the Thybulle era, ppl aren’t going to be happy at any criticism until playoffs hit. Watching maxey in a Boston series (which he’s been extremely poor against on both ends this season) might cause the sub to 180, and he’s up for a 120 or so million extension this offseason
