Okay Doug yes Bouknight made a defenseive mistake on two plays so that means he shouldn’t get any more run he played one damn minute. Wtf are we playing for? I thought it was to develop our young talent? Mcgowens makes mistakes and you say he is learning but oh it’s different for James bc why exactly?
To your point at the end about LaMelo and defensive identity of the team, I've thought about that as well. I know this sounds crazy, but (assuming everyone's healthy) maybe it would be better to start DSJ over Terry at the other guard spot. Pair him with LaMelo for defense, rim pressure, etc. Then Terry could play with the second unit – give them some offensive punch. Have Cody or Maladon handle the ball alongside him. Seems like that would give some better balance to both units.

I guess my issue with the Bouknight stuff is when the other young guys make mistakes they don’t instantly pay for it and get benched, that’s pretty frustrating as a fan of him
