there should be a rule which uses load management against the player and team. player x sits out a game. then they must sit a minimum of the next three games. for example they sit embiid against denver. guess what he CANT play against the mavs and most importantly the celtics, with seeding on the line.
Embiid: begs Draymond to tell the crowd he has the MJ's "I took that personally" mentality; also Embiid: chickens out of a duel, a rematch, shortly after the Nuggets had to play the Bucks. I don't think people were printing "person missing" posters with MJ's face at any point in his career.

For anyone who wants to reference Embiid's game vs Denver in Philly earlier in the year to strengthen his case has to also acknowledge Embiid sitting out was an extremely weak move. If you claim that the games against the other mvp candidates matter, deciding to take a rest night when the other dude gets to play you back at his house is borderline pathethic. And fyi that game earlier in Philly was also Denver's 3rd game in 4 nights on a road trip, same exact situation Jokic played and now embiid sits this one out.
For the MVP I feel that there should be a stat for "most impact on the game". Meaning, combine; points scored, assists, blocks, turnovers, etc… This would tell you who is the best, no?

Sixers 0-2 without harden and the 3rd game was vs nuggets, embid avoided further humilitation and exposure that hes worthless without harden…. Embid hunger for mvp trophy shouldve been the reason to accept the challenge but it went the other way thinking fans wouldnt notice… its official its jokic vs giannis from now on. And as an nba fan it wasnt about nuggets vs sixers, i want to see jokic vs embid, regardless who wins the game..l
