A little bit of rest day perspective

Our win ratio post trade chaos stacks up relatively well against our trade partners, considering 4 of our starting 5 are a result of those trades. I honestly think with an off-season and a possible strong offensive acquisition, the new looks nets are going to be a dominant team next szn.

I don’t care as long as Kyrie is being an asshole, and Mavs fans slowly, very VERY slowly, but excruciatingly come to realize it…

Especially with that little bit of denial? That denial that comes and goes? Like he’ll put up 34 Points in a loss? Which fuels the denial?

As long as that continues, and he eventually leaves them in shambles?

I’m the happiest fan in the world.

  2. As much as I dislike saying this, Kyrie is not the issue with the Mavs. They have poor roster construction and incredibly suspect defense in the paint. I will say I’m looking forward to that 2029 pick, though 😉

We’ll be fine, guys. We might not be elite contenders for the immediate future, but we have picks and a promising players. It’s gonna take some patience from us, and I know that the whiplash was painful, but we’ll get there eventually.

If you look deeper, your winning percentage since 2/5 is the 5th worst in the league, 9th worst in net rating. It is good to be positive, but the team has a long way to go before you can think of being considered dominant.

One of those Suns wins were against us with Mikal going crazy. I’m convinced that game made Marks pull the trigger on the trade.

I get you. I’ve just been making the case that our team was on par with that suns team before trading for Mikal and CJ

Mavs issues are 100% not kyries fault. They’ve been trash all season. I’d be pointing the finger at Luka more than kyrie to be honest.

As far as the Suns go, they’ve had kd and ayton out for a bunch of those games and kd comes back today. I’d expect them to win the majority of their remaining. They probably remain 4th seed in the west. Although they’ve said kd is super injury prone, his last 2 injuries w Brooklyn were freak accidents. Dudes fell into his knees, that shit could fuck up anyone at the right angle

Good to remind fans of things like this. And unlike the Mavs and the Suns, the Nets are under pressure to be contenders.

This team is going to have a lot of ups and downs because it really isn’t complete. But I think it def has plenty of promise.
