Normally when you hear “not fair, not fair” it comes off whiny, but his job is defense in the NBA. It is literally not fair, the deck is stacked against him, and if that was my job I’d never stop bitching.

The enforcement of illegal screens is the absolute worst. The most recent dynasty was in large part facilitated by constant diabolical waves of moving screens to free up generational shooters. That’s apparently the base line, so why does enforcement look so different from team to team and player to player?
I don’t think he realizes that the refs this year as a whole have been absolutely atrocious.
They aren’t favoring a team, they are just trash.
I can see the league wanting the warriors and suns to win.
Why would the league give a shit about the kings?
If you don’t think NBA officiating favors stars and its “big market” teams I don’t know what to tell you. It was right when Monty called it out, and it’s right when Rudy says it

First half was too enjoyable. Had to know the refs would catch fire at some point…
The play down low where he got called for an offensive foul for simply twisting his body and booker flying back 5 feet was bullshit. Suns got awarded for a guard trying to guard a center just because he was way smaller than him.

Refs have been shit all year. It is pretty funny to see us (suns) getting ass calls recently then play the wolves and get a better whistle.
Maybe because Monty complained, maybe because the wolves. Either way it was a noticeable difference from our recent stretch of games.
The players get as much into their feelings over officiating as us fans do. That’s refreshing.

He isn’t saying the Warriors ALWAYS get a favorable whistle. He isn’t saying the Kings ALWAYS get a favorable whistle. He isn’t saying the Suns ALWAYS get a favorable whistle. He’s saying the Wolves consistently get fucked by the refs no matter who they’re playing.
Both of these things can be true:
1. The Suns, Warriors, and Kings usually don’t get any favors from the refs, and might even get screwed by the refs sometimes
2. The Wolves get dicked by the refs constantly, including when they played those 3 teams
