Anyone here ever been to a historic game? I was at one but I’m ashamed to admit that we left early. Anyone else?

Let me set the scene for you. Rockets had played horrible the entire night, were playing the defending champion spurs, and Bob Sura had just shot an airball wide open with a little over a minute left. So me and my friend decided to beat the traffic and leave. We were about halfway home when gene Peterson and Jim foley go “Mcgrady for the win!” As they were celebrating we were like NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! We knew we’d missed out on history. Anyone else have a story good or bad like this?

Not that bad, but I was watching it on TV with my dad and he went to bed before the end.

That wasn’t that abnormal, though, because he had to wake up early for work.

That’s why I stay at games the whole time lol imma get my money’s worth win or loss. Even if we lose by 50. I never been to a super historical game but I did see Harden drop a 50 point triple double vs the Sixers in Philly. Cool thing was that both Kevin Hart and Meek Mill came to the game and my wife paid for some pretty good seats (this was a surprise Christmas gift)

  3. In 2012 or early 2013, one or the other, I saw the rockets pull off a 26pt comeback against the T-Wolves which I think- at least at the time- was the largest home comeback for the franchise. Not sure if that’s still the case or not.

    James Harden’s 60pt triple-double.
His celebration after the 3 to get 60 is how we were all feeling.

Edit: Also the game 7 loss to the Warriors.

Two very different vibes leaving Toyota Center..

  5. I saw Jabari’s first 30 piece against the pacers. That was pretty cool lol

I was at the game we tied the 3 pt record and Mark Jackson intentionally fouled us to keep us from breaking it. I remember seeing Bev get clotheslined lol.

  7. Closest thing to historic was being at the game where Harden slammed the ball on the ground and it came back to hit him in the face against the pelicans lol

That sucks ass but I cant really blame u for leaving in that scenario

  9. There aren’t many historic games in Sacramento but I was there when Cousins scored a career high 56.
