Kap brings you the REKAP from the United Center where he watched an exciting Bulls victory. The final score is a bit deceiving. You’d think the Bulls blew out the Grizzlies. But the Bulls were down by 15 at the half. Memphis made 19 3-point baskets in the game. And Ja Morant had a triple-double.
But Kap liked the way Alex Caruso and Patrick Williams played defense in the game. And in the second half, the team as a whole really stepped up their defense. Kap says that since January 1, the Bulls are number one in the entire league in defensive rating.
Zach Lavine and DeMar DeRozan were both outstanding again for the Bulls. Zach had 36 points and DeMar had 31. Coby White contributed 19 points off of the bench. Nikola Vucevic had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bulls play again on Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks.
