Chev, you been right about this kid the entire time when it comes to how effective Scottie can be offensively playing as a forward with point guard skills. The way he's been playing lately is the exact way he needs to continue to play his entire career.
I think the offense should run thru Scottie .

Wouldn't it be nice if two months from now everyone's talking about this two game set against the Heat as the moment when things finally started to rhyme in Toronto? This team has seemed to me like it's a tasty bassline away from going platinum since the second half of last season. Sure do hope that noise we just heard is the beat dropping.
I don't think I've ever agreed more on a Scottie take. You've said these things sparsely before. But as far as being concise and putting it all in one mantra, this is it. Don't put this kid in a box. Let him do what is needed, wherever, whenever.
Barnes needs to play like Duncan
Here is something people aren’t saying Scottie Barnes have a better IQ for the NBA more than Pascal Siakam yes Pascal Siakam is good but he is playing with Raw talent not fundamentals of the game and he is still growing to understand that. And yes Pascal is doing is job because he is drawing 2-3 defenders so he is respected but if he would make those extra pass to the 1-2 guys left open then he wouldn’t have to force the game. Why the warriors work is because a Draymond Green is vocal our guys are making vocal sound they just stand without sound so nobody knows they’re open you see OG standing in the corner all the time same with Scottie but nobody is saying hey open. We need to add a vocal aspect to our game and I know I am in some of the arenas in 3rd and those guys are telling they’re team mates that they are wide open. We need to vocalize our the play.
If I’m nick nurse I’m preaching to Scottie rebound and run his athletics are insane and punish in the paint he’s unstoppable in the post and in his post play he can use his vision and iq at the same time finding cutters and kick out threes when he’s doubled
