So many statistical anomalies this year

  2. BabyDick-_-

I thought it was crazy with the record but holy shit the points too…..the world is a crazy place

  3. Handyman2116

This is much more interesting than being regular mid, become historically mid

“They have scored 9,209 points and allowed 9,210.”

    Ruined, end of an era.

They hire Jeff Fisher in the offseason?

Hawks defying the laws of physics for 72 days

  7. Hawks games are honestly the final frontier of modern philosophy. You can’t watch a Hawks game this team and at some point not wonder why we’re all here. Watching this team suffer in front of an audience on a game to game basis really makes you question what the purpose of suffering without an audience is.

Something, something, good, honest, .500 basketball

  9. riceybois

if they win game 1, they win every series in 7

We breaking records baby! Ain’t no one worried about tha NBA finals when we can go into the record books as the most mid team of all time

  11. lilb1190

Nothing more scary than facing the Hawks after a loss. We are the 1-tech Draymond of NBA teams.

  12. Physical_Pie_2092

This is a good, honest .500 basketball team.

We play .500 ball goddammit. Salt of the earth, punch the clock, even win/loss ratio
basketball. We lose a couple, guess what? We’ll win a couple, too. But
don’t get too excited or let it go to your head. No long winning streaks
here, no sir. That’s hubris, which this blue collar, hard working
everyman team doesn’t have. A few wins in a row, these guys, true to
form, will balance it out with a couple a losses. Yes sir, that’s my
    2023 hawks . A good, honest .500 basketball team.

My god, all of those .500’s are still better than Ben Simmons FT% against them

Think about facing the Hawks in a playoff series.

You beat em once so they’re 0-1

Hawks win because it’s them. 1-1

You win again because you’re good. 1-2

Hawks win because they refuse to not be mid. 2-2

Hawks win again to shake up the narrative. 3-2

Hawks lose because they REFUSE to not be mid. 3-3

Now it’s game seven just like that and you’re nothing but a pile of doubt, despair, and bargaining with God. Looking around at what has befallen your presumptive but misguided sweep prediction. Holding on for dear life that the middest of mid teams doesn’t take your soul along with your dignity.

*I posted this 5 days ago but it just seems like destiny is daring this team to fulfill this prognostication.

  15. Truly incredible. As disappointing as this season has been for the Hawks, the unbeaten .493 Hawks storyline is really interesting.

  16. JayDogon504

They really the ones who deserved that “Definition of MID” post somebody did on the Knicks earlier this season

  17. Skeleboi846

Didn’t the Hornets also do this like 2 years ago? Not a great place to be

  18. lingnoi17

Is it a side quest for Hawks this season? Like if they end the season 41-41, they will unlock some 5-star gems or crazy shit as if it’s a RPG game?

Someone in Atlanta about to win some insane prop bet.
