Im seeing alot of “This isn’t Rudy’s fault.” I don’t think there is a better way to kill team chemistry than trading for a guy our team was ACTIVELY roasting.

Drafting at 14-16 isn’t really “the future”. All contending teams trade picks for assets. Look on tankathon and you’ll see only like 10 of the back half of the draft have traded their picks. Early seconds are a cheaper gamble than 1st with more contract control. You’ll keep see contending teams get out of the back of the 1st round.

If we trade KAT for a package even half of what we traded for Gobert i think we still come out even overall. Gobert is really good. I think KAT could get us a couple firsts and a couple solid role players at least. Think about how many more games we would have won this year with legit role players instead of rivers, nowell, and lil mac minutes. There have been zero signs that KAT and Gobert play well together and Gobert is more consistent and impactful.

The Rudy trade probably saved our season, without him we’re not even in the playoff hunt. Because Kat has no idea how to play healthy, dude plays like 6 2 shooting guard, but has a centers body. All those drives and falls to the floor mean he’s never gonna stay healthy.
