If that happens, who do we replace Scottie with? Og? Then what happens to the bench? It gets run by a 5’7 Malachi Flynn?

He is a net positive for any team he plays for, but can anyone really deny he at the very least goes through stretches of games where he’s a chucker?
Also, I don’t get the obsession with making Scottie a point guard. It’s not him becoming a dominant SF/PF would be a bad thing.

The misunderstood part is that he is the *designated* chucker. It’s by design. If they feel like they have to take an ugly shot, the Raptors would rather FVV take that shot. That’s why he takes ugly shots and gets labeled a chucker. It’s a part of his job.

whoa… how’d you get footage inside Tank Commander HQ?!?

lmao It’s like people are not allowed to criticize players for what they do.
The guy chucks at times. We’ve all seen it. Has moments where he’s really frustrating. He also has great moments like yesterday where he focused on dishing to others and it really worked. Overall, though, his size and nature of play limits him to certain things, of which have been a net negative to the team for a while now. How anyone doesn’t see this clearly hasn’t watched the raptors for the past year, at least, or loves Fred too much to let him be above criticism.

Fred should ideally play the role Lowry had in 2019, assuming Scottie can develop into a scorer in his prime while being given the touches to develop, while still having a serviceable Pascal as a vet.
Fred should be an off-ball 3 type of threat, with the added benefit of being a great playmaker. He’s just prone to traps because of his size in an environment like the playoffs, so he should definitely be raising his off-ball game with cuts, constant movement, and gravity. As his game ages, it’s better suited to an off-ball type of game anyways, not to mention Fred sometimes dribbles the air out of the ball. He only has that greenlight because of seniority, not because he’s a guy that would get better results than a developed Scottie.
