[Lowe] With Austin Reaves, LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the floor in 307 minutes they are +119, +14 per 100 possessions – kicking ass is what that translates to!

He‘s talking about the teams seeded 7 through 10 in each conference, thought this tidbit starting at the three minute mark was worth posting then I kept transcribing from [the Lowe Post](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-lowe-post/id986595124?i=1000607224857):

> The Lakers, ooooh baby: 40-38, 14-6 in their last 20, with Austin Reaves, LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the floor in 307 minutes they are +119, +14 per 100 possessions – kicking ass is what that translates to! Their new starting lineup makes a lot of sense, their non-Vanderbilt “uh-oh we need better spacing” options are working and they play the Clippers this week in what might be the biggest Lakers vs. Clippers game of all time. As I talked about last week and I was sort of saying it half facetiously having not done the proper research, I think it actually might be.

these last 4 games will be fun, especially since we’re going against two objectively good teams in Clippers (though no PG is a bummer) and the Suns.

  2. AR, Bron and AD have insane chemistry any time they’re on the floor. AD and Bron always shout him out in every single post game even on his bad games. It’s clear there is a great connection there. I fucking love him

Those are low minutes but it lines up with the eye test—Reaves is such a perfectly complimentary guy for them. Can operate as a secondary ball handler, run the pnr with either of them, is an active cutter off ball, a capable spot up shooter, an active screener and just generally brings a ton of energy which always helps with guys who carry heavy scoring loads.

3rd game in 4 nights on a B2B against the Clippers with them not having played since Saturday

Clippers probably shouldn’t lose but we’ll see

With Austin Reaves on the court this season (3500 possessions) :

Lakers team FT rate = 27.6, 97th percentile

With Austin Reaves off the court this season (4200 possessions):

Lakers team FT rate = 19.5, 31st percentile

For LeBron, that number only 20.9, 51st percentile when he’s on the court

you can take it even further back to last season

    they’re +13 per 100

it’s just enough ball handling aside from LeBron, where he can handle when he needs to, be the screener when he wants

  7. >what might be the biggest Lakers vs. Clippers game of all time

This does not speak well to the, uh, “rivalry.”

  8. PAWGle_the_lesser

Every time I look at the box score Austin Reaves is at like 16 points on 78% FG

I’ve tried, but I can’t think of any reason to pick Denver, Memphis, or Sac over a healthy Bron/AD or Steph/Klay/Dray in a 7 game series. First round could be wild this year

Why don’t LeBron or AD seem to get any mention on making an all NBA team. They are going to be right around 55 games played which is a little low but not too low. They are putting up good numbers and could get the 6 seed, maybe even the 5 seed. No one seems to ever mention them or am I just missing it

It’s strange because DLo will get like 20m+ next season and reaves is probably the better player and he’ll get like something like 4 years 50m

Do you think Alex Caruso and Austin Reaves do the Spider-Man meme

  13. Successful-End7689

    Craziest part is their +18 per14 🔥

  14. AR is the new Rodman/Draymond/Ray/Bosh/Manu… Dayumn

  15. HumperMoe

Reaves, Bron, AD, and the refs are the best starting 5. Prove me wrong.

  16. That’s a VERY aging/injury-prone list at this point..a lot of them are going to start having very injury-riddled season, so could be any of them.

Western playoffs are gonna be so interesting.

  18. DamnnForrreal

There was a guy that posted and basically said the Lakers are better without AD and Bron. Well here you go.

  19. LeBron loves a scrappy white dude. AR is scrappy…and also pretty talented! He’s legit good and the Lakers team looks real in a pretty open West.
