A lot of people do not understand how championship teams are built. All dynasties end eventually and it takes a few years to reload again. Ask any NBA analyst about this Spurs team and you will get the same answer which is, we are doing it the right way. We nailed the '22 draft and we are developing our young players. Every championship team has at least 1 superstar and in some cases, 2 superstars. Other teams fail because of the players they put around those superstars and in some cases, lack of discipline. We do not have that superstar on the roster yet but I think Sochan can get there and on draft night this year we will get our second one. The foundation is there for everything else. We have the makings of a great supporting cast and a great bench.

We’ve been rebuilding for about 14-15 months. I’d say we’re way ahead of any typical FO schedule to rebuild any team in the past 15 years. Maybe Memphis was ahead of our schedule and timeline. Maybe.

Spurs are doing the rebuild right. We nailed last years draft. Sochan is the man, and Brahman is a beast too. They both on the come up in a big way. Imagine KJohnson, Sochan, Vessel, and Collins add Wembanyana as a starting 5 with Brahman as the 6th man. Give that 2 seasons to marinate and cook and tell me that’s not a force to be reckoned with
The wheels will fall off, for the Hawks, by the 2025 draft. The draft haul they gave SA will help make the Spurs for a generation and will put ATL behind for a long time
