They can make to the finals if AD decides to be the best player of the team. Lebron at 38 just came back from a torn foot tendon should not be the best player for ANY team. He's not going to be 100% this year and even if he was, AD still needs to be the best player for Lakers to go far. Lebron at this point of his career should be averaging max 25ppg and with 10+ assists. Offense number 1 option must be AD.
If the Lakers stay healthy: their roster is just as good as anyone else's, when AD and LeBron are 100%…with D'Angelo Russell and several other guys they added for their bench…Add a heavier dose of Austin Reeves and Lonnie Walker into the mix, and you have a very good team.

Wade kinda took the spot as my favorite player all time. I modeled my game after lebron when I first started hooping cause I was a tallish built dude who could still fly and LOVED passing. As I got older I just wanted to challenge myself to think like Dwade instead. Go up against those college guys and top tier rec hoppers with that "Im the smallest dude out her (6'1"ish) but im gonna play the biggest!" All is to say Lebron was there for the journey too and I still adored his game. It's been such a strange roll of the dice following his career. He's definately lost more than he should have but he STILL has time cause of his gifts and hard work. This year could change everything if he takes a decent squad all the way. No Disney land rec league asterisk on this one. 5 obviously puts him right there with the ghost he chasing, and somehow takes the pressure off to even get another one after that just playing how he's done it. Like I explained he ain't my favorite player but I followed the whole journey and glad I got to see it and still take things away from his game. This squad isn't a traditional champion looking team but there's no reason they can't and Lebron could show he still thinking and leading in a way these boys simply can't grasp.
