104$ million for a role player was a good choice for the Mavs letting Brunson walk. He got the opportunity he needed in NY. Let’s just be glad for both sides. Mavericks have a younger JB in the wing by the name of Jaden Hardy & that man CAN COOK! Plus he is 6 years younger then Brunson. Dallas made the best decision

I've said it in the past and I'll say it again: Mavs were never contenders to being with even after a conference finals appearance. They just had a hot streak in the 2nd half of season last year and was streaky. Yes, they beat the Suns but are we really going to say that the Suns would have done worse against the Warriors in the conference finals? Suns played horribly that series and yes the Mavs did match up well against them but Suns would have made the conference finals much closer than losing 4-1. Mavs had no depth, no defense and no true big man while losing Brunson who was their 2nd best player. Now, they're even worse in all those things while having one of the worst teammates in Kyrie Irving who does nothing but score.
