The Bench Mob shows up tonight……
Steve has such great patience. So few of these questions show much basketball intelligence or incisiveness. Yet he answers graciously. His mentor, Pop, famously would have stared a few seconds, like…"really. you're actually asking me to come in here just to respond to that?". Then he'd try saying something benign to calm the reporter's heart.
Reporters acting like Klay played differently in the second half. Three point shots don't drop for Klay or Steph or anyone in the NBA more than about 4 times out of 10. Klay and Steph both are streaky, Klay moreso. They'll miss all of them in the first half and make all of them in the second. Or vice versa. In the end it averages out to their shooting percentage. Not rocket science. Nothing to do with effort.
