  3. It would suck to lose the play-in, it would suck even worse to not even win 1 game (if we’re 9th). But at least it’s a high-pressure must-win scenario, which is still important to experience. Still, not as good as the playoffs.

The only consolation would be that we pick 12-14 (or more of the lottery gods are kind) as opposed to 15-17, which at least gives us some options.

Just root for our boys, and then come back with a vengeance next season.

I really like the play in. Gives more benefit to playing 1st and even 2nd, as you get a rest advantage. And more teams competing down the stretch.

The reality is regardless what seed we get, even if we get a 1st round playoff appearance, everyone will be wishing we didnt make the play in tournament come draft night.

I don’t get why the 7th seed is involved. Just have 9 and 10 play for the right to play 8, on 8’s home court.

    Its much cleaner

I’m all for the play in tournament. The end of season games have meaning, and teams can play the spoiler role. It’s all good fun.

But as a Raptor fan, the stress is real. We don’t usually have great performances in Game 1s. And where we currently stand, we have to win twice to even make the playoffs.

Maybe someone knows the stat on how we do in elimination games 🤔

Regardless of your opinions on tanking, the play ins have made for exciting basketball games the last few seasons.
