I'm not saying we kill ourselves to do it, but there's still a real chance of us knocking Phoenix down to the 6 by beating them twice. We'll know more in a few days but if we manage to steal the first one it's worth taking the second one seriously.

Malone is that kind of coach he appreciated players like Barton or Jeff (it is interesting these are 2 worst players in advance metric at 538 just 2 San Antonio players are between them from all players which played at least 900 minutes in the league.
This means Malone is so bad in recognizing any bad aspects of his favorites players (similar story was with Milsap, Chandler, and some other players which just vanished after Nuggets role.
He is below average to average coach, he can not solve bench minutes at all. Also if he did not like player (mostly young players) he would not give him chance at all.
So many good players did not played almost at all because some trivial staffs.
He will not change anything until it is so obvious that this what he is forcing is very bad.
In very first Nikola Jokic series I remember that Nuggets funs were so furies how Barton played against San Antonio, that he need to replace him at the end of series in starting unit, but he just find way to use him in that playoff if somebody else played in that series Nuggets would play in conference finals that year.
The only player I'm in favor of trading major pieces like Jamal and MPJ for would be Jimmy Butler. I love that guy and he would fit great with Jokic.

I think run it back is the right answer, but I’d at least be open to moving Porter if the opportunity presented itself. It’s unlikely with his contract, but if some team was willing to offer a couple really good mid-salary players for Porter plus a draft pick, I’d definitely consider doing it.
But I think that’s super unlikely to happen.

I think the opposite, I think the game is becoming more & more interesting to him more he understands it. To me it only makes sense when you are becoming better at something you enjoy it more. When Jok said he sees himself as Duncan. people immediately go to his game and fundamentals but forget that Timmy also played 20 years! He will play at least 7-8 more years.
