2 things happened in the Finals last season: 1 the main guys (minus JB) got gassed & 2 the bench didnt step up.
Mazzulla is doing a good job addressing those issues by giving JT & JB days off while keeping deep bench guys like Muscala, Hauser & Blake prepared.
these reps will pay dividends a month down the road.

IMO we really need a rotation big this year unless we're grooming moose/blake/luke as the replacement instead of being just depth pieces. or perhaps we just draft a project big and bring up kabengele next season?
Derrick White should be 1st Team All-Def, Malcolm Brogdon should win 6MOY, and most importantly Jaylen Brown should be considered as a lock for an All-NBA forward spot (2nd team preferably)

So, what I noticed with Brown into the lineup compared to Tatum is that the ball moves around sooo much (which is a good thing) when Brown plays. Ball sticks with Tatum too much when he’s playing and he doesn’t do anything with it. Brown tries to drive in or at least go around defenders to then dish it out to the open man. It just felt like Brown fits on the team well without Tatum and I can’t say the same about Tatum without brown on the team. I guarantee you that Brogdon wouldn’t have had this big of a game if Tatum played instead of brown.
This game, JB was awful. You could see his bad plays coming. Stressful
Loved Brogdons laser pass from beyond the three point line through traffic to find an open Derek White under the basket for a bunny. Guy impacts the game in so many ways.

I agree. Sam was super positive despite just 1 goal. Now, who says he has no D? In fact, if Mazula and staff can plan out plays for Sam to shoot comfortably, I believe Sam can score 15 plus a game, regularly and make the Celtics a real.powerhouse.. As it is, Sam, the most accurate shooter in the team, is a last resort shooter harassed by the 24 second clock.
Brogdon has clearly helped the Celtics make 2nd seed, even first seed for the majority of the season in the ENTIRE league. Quickley has helped New York to make what – 6th seed? 7th seed? The numbers speak for themselves. Brogdon has more impact on his team in the entire league, as 6th man.
Hauser was totally like, Bird back in the day! Pure Celtics playing! Brogdon was AmAzInG!
There was a few seconds when the Raptors, defensively had their hands around our necks trapping us. The game was a bit boring. Brogdon 6th man, hell ya! Great podcast, John!

How Quickley is the betting favorite is beyond me. Brogdon is better in almost every stat, more efficient, just as good of a defender, on a better team, and has started 0% of his games. Quickley will have started 25% of the games by years end.
White and Brogdon should be closing every game. Their games compliment each other so well. I’m really worried about Mazzulla in the POs in close games 😢
