Sixers locked into third seed, likely to face Brooklyn Nets in first round



The 76ers are locked into the Eastern Conference third seed. A victory Thursday night over the Miami Heat will set up a first-round matchup with the Brooklyn Nets. Devon Givens and Keith Pompey discuss that and preview Thursday’s game.

  1. Brooklyn everybody keeps talking about as a walk in the park. Claxton has given embiid quite a bit of trouble this year. To be honest I’m worried he might injure him by accident more than anything. Also the nets have a lot of shooters, and our perimeter defense at times is terrible. Although it’ll be good preparation for the bucks and or Celtics. And I’ll also be sulking the entire matchup because we could’ve had mikal bridges on our team and decided to trade him……😂terrible management decision as usual

  2. For these last 3 games I want Embiid to let his teammates carry him and just do enough to win but not get hurt. If it means not playing with effort I'm cool with that. Just get my guy to the playoffs healthy for the first time.

  3. I hate to watch Bridges and Tatum…both should've been part of the Sixers future with Embiid. BTW, whatever happened to Zaire Smith? In the last 5 years besides Maxey, what draft pick has shown future promise? 🤔
