Because we’re not a good fanbase collectively. I’m seeing people say he’s not a Laker fan he’s a Kobe fan but I’ve seen videos of us booing Magic, Kobe and Shaq. We also didn’t appreciate Gasol enough (when he was playing for us) and got on him way too much.
When we’re winning we show love and cheer for our players but when we’re losing we’re one of the most obnoxious fanbases and we show our discontent in some of the worst ways possible. It is what it is I guess but let’s not act like we’re some pillar of how a good fanbase should act.

I honestly think that Lebron just brings a lot of hate. I remember the last few years of Kobe and the early post Kobe days when the team was awful but I don’t remember individual players getting that much hate, except for maybe Lonzo and that was mostly his dad causing issues. Q
Idk man. As someone who is a fan of the ringless Minnesota Vikings and started watching the Lakers the year they went 17-65, I have a lot of appreciation for LeBron and AD coming here and winning a ring. A real fan roots for the team regardless of who’s wearing the jersey.
