Believe that you guys are puting too much stock in a 10th pick. Kyrie was going to come in and save the Mavs when they traded away a developing, defensive player DFS. The Mavs gave up on him when he had grown every year that he was in the league excluding this one. He had one hiccup, which is often part of the process. Which NBA player has never had a season where they didn't struggle? And they traded away SD – whom was showing that he had recovered fully from an injury and at times was playing exceptionally – he was one of the Mavs most dependable 3 point shooters when he was traded. Guess what – Kyrie didn't save the Mavs this season.
And now a top 10 pick is going to save the Mavs? That's but a delusional dream, unless they get lucky.
MC is now blaming parenting for losing Brunson, when he himself said that he didn't want to make the same mistake that he made with Nash. You never tank if you want to win. It sends the wrong message to your own players, to the fans and to the league. If they are ok with losing this year, then what is to say that they wont be ok with losing next year? Play to win, or get out of the sport. Period!! It makes no sense to quit trying when they still had a chance to keep their season alive. Well guess what? Now we have to start rooting for someone else, if we still want to follow NBA basketball…
If you want to know what to expect from the Mavericks next year, just look at what Cuban has to say about J-Kidd. It's unlikely to get any better, but I sure do hope that I am proven wrong.
MAvs has 3.0% chance for no 1, 3.3% for no 2, 3.6% for no 3 and 4.0% for no. 4 pick so they have 13.9% chance to get one of top 4 picks, and if they beat Bulls they would have 8.5% chance to keep their pick!

There's a few things about this tank that are being overlooked:
1. Cuban did not want to give cheating Knicks the pick. The beef is real. Knicks tampered and were not hit hard enough by NBA.

The problem with the Mavs is they dont have a style to play. It is "give the ball to Luka and let him take the mismatch.". Since he arrived, the Mavs are more become like the Harden Rockets. However, they had defenders like ariza, tucker, aminu and a good rebounder woth capela. It is not with powell and woods you gonna win the championship.
