What a turnaround from the Lakers. They started the season 2-10 and were the 13th seed at the trade deadline. Since the deadline, they are 17-8, which is the 2nd-best record in the NBA during that stretch. They will finish the season with a winning record. Pretty incredible.

Love Trevor’s tweets. Probably the only non-Laker employee that has good takes

Rookie coach making rookie mistakes, Brickland, so many injuries.

It shows how good a healthy Wilt Davis is.

If LBJ gets his mojo back for playoffs 18th is coming. He started the season slower than usual it it took a lot of time to get The King back then he was overused and felt to an injury. Even when he is delivering, I’d prefer to keep Davis as the focal point of offense because playing inside out wears down the other team more IMO. It is usually an easy win when Davis scores 35+ while the same don’t apply when it is James or even Dlo scoring

If we only had a half way competent coach, we would easily be 5th seed even with the horrible season, injury, Brick, etc. So many games dropped simply because of Mr. Meathead. A shame really because they would really use that week off to recover from the nagging injuries and fatigue.

13th seed with Houston and SA actively tanking and if you throw in the jazz then we were worse than teams trying to lose. We were the dead last.

    Celebrate small victories but…

Incredible season, and no Lebron in much of that stretch.

With this same roster since the beginning and a training camp, this team would be a top 3 seed in the league.

They still haven’t ran any 5-on-5’s and AD/Bron have been dealing with injuries caused by having to overplay themselves. That and the fact that Russell Westbrook pretty much killed any momentum the Lakers could’ve had or developed during his stint there.

At the very least, they should try and run this roster back again next season. Find another backup big and start bringing Christie into the rotation. I’d say fire Ham for Nick Nurse but the Lakers probably don’t want to go through paying another HC for the next four years after just giving him a contract.

They never should have started that bad. I know the roster had holes. But they were not the worst team in the NBA.

This team has that championship DNA. Everybody outside of laker nation loves to shit on the Lakers and act like they have written us off, but I promise you everybody is scared of what this team is capable of now that we’re finally clicking. We have fucking AD who is playing out of his mind and arguably the best player in history in his 4th prime. And now they’re surrounded my competent pieces defensively and shooting wise.

This is not your average 7 seed. Look the fuck out.

  10. Imagine if our idiot front office didn’t spend 1.5 seasons on the westbrook experience and instead we just had the guys we have now or the team that was similar to this prior to trading for him…
