With Durant’s season over, he officially joins the 50/40/90 club for the 2nd time, only the 3rd player in NBA History to do so

The other 2 being Larry Bird and Steve Nash.

KD has been listed as out for the game against the Clippers tomorrow.

He finishes the season with 29/7/5 on 56/40/92 splits, and becomes the first player in NBA History to average 55/40/90.

The requirements for the 50/40/90 club are based on volume for shots, which Durant well surpasses despite only playing 50 games.

Nash and Bird still stand as the only 2 to do it multiple times due to games played.

Nash is the only player to do it more than twice, having done it 4 times

I am mildly surprised that Wardell has not accomplished this

  3. Sensitive-Citron-344

    Wardell Stephen Curry shot 50/40/90 for his 2015 – 2016 season…

  4. Awanderingleaf

In an 82 game season he played 47 games. That is slightly more than half the season. Give me a break lol

I’ll forever be sad that his season was cut short by fluke injuries. This man was a frontrunner for MVP at 34 having a mind boggling season from the midrange while playing elite defense. Shooting what, 56/40/92? Would have loved to see it over a full season :/

I thought KD got an injury with that title lol

  7. C-DogDriver

    Doesn’t count, didn’t play 65 games

Hopefully people get the reference and don’t downvote this to hell lol

  8. Wikipedia has a list with a lot more players in it

Tobias Harris almost had it once, and then never again…

Man, I remember the last game of last season where KD just needed to go like 5/8 from 3 to get to 50/40/90 and he had an stinker of a shooting game 😭

He also needed to score like 37 to average 30ppg and didn’t do that either 😞

Glad he got into the club again this time.

    nah 56/40/92 is ridiculous wtf

doing that on 29 ppg instead of like, 15 or something (a ppg range where you can afford to only take the best shots, basically) just isn’t fair. KD is unreal.

For those wondering, you need to make 300 FG, 82 3P, and 125 FT to qualify for the leaderboards in each category.

  13. Prestigious-Falcon-8

Why shouldn’t the 50% apply to 2-point FGs instead of all, including 3s? Why should 3s count twice?

  14. Emotional-Dust4496

He officially does not as it doesn’t qualify.. same as lebron leading league on points last year.. didn’t count, not enough games played..

55/40/90 is again so random to include as a benchmark for “first in NBA history” lol. Didn’t Curry average 50/50/90 then and also has a record

It hasn’t been updated on wiki yet. Someone should get on top of that.

FYI Nash did this 4x. Just insane. One of the greatest/most underrated PG of all time.

Not a well known fact but Birds nickname among teammates was “Little Larry” because of his exceptionally small pinky toes on both feet.
