Less than 5 mins after the end of the regular season…

BRO GOT FIRED BEFORE THE GAME EVEN ENDED 😭😭😭

  3. _s0lace_

Fired his ass before the game even ended lmao

Edit: I will say there’s no doubting Silas is a classy guy. After listening to his post game presser it was lowkey pretty sad. Got the raw end of the stick with Harden and Westbrook dipping but that’s just the way it goes. He said it himself, it’s the business. Hoping all the best for him.

Also fuck Vanessa for bringing up that question about his father. Learn to read the room ffs.

Man the game just ended, that’s cold af.

Seriously though, he was put in a horrible situation. I’m sure he did the best he could with what he was given but I’m confident in saying someone else could’ve yielded better results and I’m sure that the next coach will do so by implementing some discipline, structure and accountability into this team.

Silas kinda got set up for failure when Harden and Westbrook both left, hope he can find an assistant coach job with a team that suits his offense more

  6. Classiccage

Dawg how do you fire him before the job is done lol

  7. isomorphZeta

I hope he gets a chance elsewhere, because I think he can be a really good player’s coach. We’ve got to remember he was brought on to coach a team with James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Eric Gordon, and P.J. Tucker – a team with plenty of experience in veteran leadership. I don’t think he was ever cut out to mold and develop one of the youngest teams in the league.

Great guy. Obviously cared very deeply for the young guys on our team. Just got dealed a bad hand and ended up in a job he wasn’t hired for.

Damn stone really be stone cold, before the game even finished 😭

  10. Texaslion

He obviously deserved to be fired, but letting this get out before he even does his post game interview is pretty low down imo.

Ain’t gonna dwell on how much I hated him as a coach, but glad we are moving on to a better coach to see this thing change direction.

  12. SirRobertFord

    it has been a nightmare.

    Never Silas again.

  13. ijusbechillin

Damn, I feel bad for the guy but it’s the right decision

  14. medspace

Really… during the game. Anyways, unfortunate that it didn’t work out and I hope Silas is able to find a place where he can thrive in.

  15. While Silas should have told his ass, Stone needs to stay away from practices and keep his bald ass in the office. He won’t get to play those stupid games with a decent coach.

Edit: shit like this, Stone is trash, “And on one occasion prior to the 2021-22 season, Stone interrupted a Silas-led session to give his input on and show defensive positions to a few players who were present, sources with direct knowledge of the instance say. The interference reached a point where Silas eventually had to inform Stone he could no longer halt the coach’s practice sessions. “Stephen had to address the front office and check them,” one source familiar with the matter said. Such an incident never happened again. ”

Edit: A Stoney down vote. LOL. His ass is a wannabe coach. Needs to stay in his lane. Better yet gtfo. He’s a cancer to the organization.

  16. What a fucked up front office.

Dude was live in a conference saying he’s going to have a meeting tomorrow about his future in Houston when this got announced.

  17. nitra007

Respect to Silas. Bro was a professional through it all, and did the tank job. Someone had to do it. I do think he kept the young guys playing hard all season. Nick nurse me btw

  18. AdmirableRise3758

Let the game end first at least jesus man

But nah wish him the best was a great guy in a not so ideal situation.

  19. Acceptable_Ganache51

dont get attached to anyone boys

  20. conker1264

I called him being fired as soon as the season ended lol

  21. Historical-Clerk-755

He commanded the tank perfectly. Hopefully the front office delivers this off season tho

  22. Lunareste

Good luck to you Silas. Not every person is right for every job, and he got a curveball before he even got started

  23. sorendiz

Don’t really like the timing of this release. Show some courtesy and wait at least until he’s done with the damn postgame stuff, please.

Feel bad for Stephen Silas the individual, it’s been a hard year for him and I hope that he lands on his feet, wish him the best. Not quite as bad for Coach Stephen Silas, I definitely think he could have done a better job and I don’t get the feeling that he’s the coach that this roster needs, although I don’t think he was *as* bad as some of you think – definitely there’s more factors going into our last couple seasons than just ‘is coach good or is coach bad’. But either way parting is probably mutually beneficial. Hope that we get a good replacement, and please god let it NOT be anyone with sexual harassment or domestic violence or other such nonsense on their record that’s all I ask

  24. AoE2manatarms

Udoka or Nurse the only 2 options that actually elevate this team

  25. Ceziboyn

I am one of those people who think Silas should have been gone by the end of last season, but announcing that during the game is just being a dick.

This organization needs some class (Among other things) in FO as well, and I am afraid we may learn that the hard way during off-season.

  26. plutosbigbro

Can’t keep the coach who tanked for 3 years and expect him to just turn it around. Needed a new face and direction for this team.
