The Mavs are my #1 fav team. This is just a small set-back. Think about next year, Luka, and if Kyrie Irving, Christian Wood do not sign, either way they can offer a player 180 million for 5 years. If they leave, they leave. The Mavericks will have Luka, (possibly a top 10 overall pick.) And at least 185 million or more to sign another All-Star like Kyrie or two good back ups. Either way. Mark Cuban did this from a business and future perspective. Win 2 games and go to the play in tournament and have a 12% chance of getting a top 10 lottery pick, OR lose the last two games, give your players some extra time off this season. Start up healthy with a top 10 pick, that pick might be a starter right away like Luka? They made the playoffs 24 times since the team was created in 1980 43 years ago. So, they advance to the playoffs, about 1 in every 1.79 seasons. This is rare they don't make the playoffs. Next year they have a chip on their shoulder and something to prove. #MFFL
